Nightmares!

Argh! My Tunic is giving me nightmares. The gauge is right for the stitches, but off for the rows - by a LOT. I cut short 4 rows on the ribbing, and it's still 1.5 inches too long. At one point I thought I'd just continue as is and knit it for my dear sis, but now I'm starting to think of modifying the pattern significantly -as in, turn it into a skirt. I know, you all think I'm crazy. I think I better put it aside for a day and get a little perspective - I'll think on it again tomorrow.
